County parks with bike trails
include Long Lake, Palmer, Fallesburg, and Douglas Walker parks, In
East Grand Rapids, the Reeds Lake Trail circles the lake in a 4.2-mile loop
beginning at John Collins Park. For more information on Michigan's

City officials say they have a plan to connect trails
along the Grand River with the trails south of Chicago Drive in the Greater
Grand Rapids Area. The project would create trails along two Int. I96
underpasses.
When completed, the extension would create a large
loops that would connect the trails at Canal Avenue SW with another portion
of the trail near Wilson and Oakes Street SW, incorporating into the
extension a path along Buck Creek that was complete two years ago. |

Kent Trails
The Kent Trails system traverses 15 miles of connecting rail trail,
roadways and easements from Grand Rapids, via John Ball Park, Millennium
Park and Johnson Park, through Wyoming and out to Byron Center.
There aren't a lot of hills so it's a good trail for beginners.

Musketawa Trail
This four-season, 25-mile, multi-use trail leads from Marne to Muskegon,
passing through farmlands, wetlands, over creeks and through small
towns.

Paul Henry-Thornapple Trail
When complete, the Paul Henry trail will run 42 miles from 44th
Street and Kalamazoo Avenue SE to Vermontville in Eaton County.
Locally, it is accessible from Wing Avenue and 60th Street SE, Stauffer
Avenue and 52nd Street SE, or Kalamazoo Avenue and 44th Street SE. |
White Pine Trail
A four-season, 92-mile trail, the White Pine Trail leads through scenic
forests from Belmont through Rockford, Big Rapids and Reed City, and
north to Cadillac. It's a very scenic ride from Belmont to
Rockford past the Rockford Dam (on the Rogue River). You can stop
in Rockford and have ice cream. |
